What Lies Beneath the DC Avanti Supercar

From DC Design comes the company’s first supercar, which is in fact India’s first supercar – the DC Avanti Supercar. Avanti, which translates to “forward” in Italian, is one of the most affordable supercars in the world, to be priced for only Rs 30 lakh. Amitabh Bachchan unveiled this latest creation from DC Design during the recently concluded New Delhi Auto Show. Initially powered by a 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine from Ford, the vehicle will later be powered by a turbo V6 Honda engine, switching from 265hp to 400hp. With an MMT6 6-speed transmission, the chassis has a tubular space frame, coil cover shock absorbers, and 330mm ventilated discs. Challenges in mass producing the DC Avanti Supercar have pushed back its sale towards the first quarter of 2013.
